The NCEDA Foundation was created in 2020 to help underserved, rural, and distressed counties and the economic developers who represent these communities. The Foundation also promotes economic development careers, creating a talent pipeline to enrich our profession.

Every NCEDA member is a donor to the Foundation through their dues, with the ability to make additional donations.

The Foundation Fundraising Committee solicits donations from companies, foundations, and agencies. The Foundation does not accept donations that replace or lessen donations to local, regional, or state economic development organizations.

The NCEDA Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors who are passionate leaders from all sectors of economic development. The board is devoted to serving the needs of the economic development community and the broader North Carolina citizens.
