One of the most important ways NCEDA supports professional growth is by facilitating mentorships.
Our structured yet flexible program matches industry veterans willing to offer guidance with young professionals who’d like to expand their knowledge. Participants set their own goals and plans. Mentors and mentees can meet in person, by phone, or online.
Mentorship Program
Mentorship Participant
"I know firsthand how critical mentorship is to the growth and development of professionals in economic development. I would not be where I am today without the guidance of my own mentor. Stepping into the role of mentor myself has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of watching my mentee grow both personally and professionally, and knowing I’ve played even a small role in her success and in the future of our profession has been incredibly rewarding."
